Greenville news gives Kevin Bryant a thumbs down

Now if they could only give him a ticket out of the statehouse!

Thumbs Down: Blog stirs up controversyThumbs Down to state Sen. Kevin Bryant of Anderson for his over-the-top blog posting that, to borrow words from some Democrats, was "classless" and "tasteless." The Republican freshman senator stirred up controversy with a picture that roughly compared terrorist leader Osama bin Laden and presumptive Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama. The two are featured facing each other, along with their names and the childish comment that the difference between them "is just a little B.S." Bryant took the picture off his blog but continued to link to it. Blogs can get rough sometimes, but Bryant associates his with his official elected duties, even thanking visitors for "visiting the Legislature's first blog." That makes this offense even worse.
